The research programmes at the Department of Culture and Society work to develop and improve external research application and a process for internal peer evaluation of applications has been implemented in order to improve applications. Feel free to contact your research programme director or the research consultant if you are working on an application and would like a peer to read it. In connection with major rounds of applications, where the head of department needs to sign letters of agreement and see budgets, process descriptions are produced and they will be available in the department’s newsletter and on the staff portal. Here you will be able to see what deadlines it is necessary to comply with in order to complete the internal peer evaluations and to obtain the necessary documents for the application from the head of department and subsequently also having these documents signed by the head of department.
Traditional research projects often include specific rules for the types of expenses to be covered and acceptable prices. The researcher's work is normally settled with real gross wages (including holiday pay, pension, ATP, etc.), the specific operating costs are covered and a standard percentage of overhead.
