We are happy to welcome Raymond Yamamoto as a member of staff at CAS as of 1 March 2017.
Raymond Yamamoto received his PhD degree in Japanese Studies from Hamburg University and has been a lecturer at Osaka University until recently. He spent several years in Japan conducting his research which is primarily focused on Japan’s post-war foreign policy. His recent publications deal with the critical role of Japan’s Official Development Assistance in the country’s first security strategy. Currently, he is studying the effects of Japan’s 2016 security legislation on Peace Keeping Operations in South Sudan.
