Miriam DeCock has a doctorate in Early Christianity from McMaster University’s Department of Religious Studies in Hamilton, Canada. Her doctoral work has focused on the interpretation of the Gospel of John in the Greek patristic tradition, particularly within the "schools" of Alexandria and Antioch. At Aarhus, she will be working on a postdoctoral project on Origen's recently discovered Homilies on the Psalms with Prof. Anders-Christian Jacobsen. In this project she will work to situate the new homilies within the rest of Origen's extant lifelong work on the Psalms and to examine his interaction with and use of the prior exegetical tradition.
